The hotel room block is all set so you can start calling and making reservations now by asking for group “Southaven 20”. The rate for Saturday night is $99 and the rate for Friday & Sunday (if needed) is $79 and is good for the entire weekend. We have 25 rooms reserved for Friday and 50 rooms reserved for Saturday night.
The normal weekend rate is $159, so this is a very reasonable group rate.
Call Hollywood Casino Tunica at 1-800-871-0711 to make your reservations. Reservations must be made by 9/12/08 to get the special SHS rate, otherwise Hollywood Casino reserves the right to charge their regular room rate and open the remaining block of rooms to the public.

Hi Terry,
This is only my opinion but I think it would be easier for the out-of-town people, such as myself, to attend an event such as this if a Summer date were chosen. I think the turn-out would be much larger. I would want to add a few additional days to my trip since I don't go "back home" very often and since the kids are out of school in the summer (my nephews), usually my family will try to coincide their vacation days with mine so we can get everyone together. Everyone will have taken their vacation by September. It looks like the date has already been set in stone but, again, just my opinion, I think the out-of-town people should have been considered. I will try to make it but not sure at this time. I don't even think I received any kind of invite or information regarding the 5 year reunion. Was there a 10 year? Thanks!

Regina, Yes, there was a 10yr reunion, but no 5yr reunion. Invitations were mailed for the 10yr reunion to the address of record from 1988. I know a summer date was considered, but the Casino did not have an open date in the summer months. Also, I think there was some concern about kids playing summer sports and family vacations during July/August that cause more conflicts. I hope you can make it even if it's just for a long weekend.
